Ode to the Common Man

October 28, 2008
By Anonymous

Wake up son, work real hard
One day ya life won't walk far
Low wages, the regular-as the family man
A thousand times hard, as best he can.
His whole life his pain and toil conquers him,
Till his last breath he steps, in death's angry grin.
So much was lost; the kids grew up,
To the unsung hero, as unsung love.

This was a piece I did to express my feelings about the lives of many men and women who are going through these difficult Economic times.
