We were off to go on just a hike . . .
But as dusk approached we knew we would be

In the depths of Blue John canyon
we had
Climbed
Repelled
and Hiked over 12 miles that day

We couldn’t all stick together
after we had come across the big wall
two got to climb out the right way
the other four had to find their own way out

We had searched all night long to get out of the
canyon
our only light was the moon and our small flashlights

Finally as we approached the top of a plateau
we could see the lights
we shouted and screamed

It was the other couple that climbed out
we were
