My Promise To You

October 24, 2008

As I start to think
As I start to wonder
My heart drops
And starts to thunder
What you don't know
Is what you can't see
And what you can't hear
Is the thrill of you and me
I search my heart
As well as my soul
My mind says the same
As my words unfold
Something tells me that you're the one
My body says go
So I start to run
Trying to get as far as I can
I stop to find myself in the palm of your hand
How could this happen
How could this be
There is no way you got to me
But thinking again I start to realize
Everything I want
Begins in your eyes
Your soft touch
Your gentle embrace
Your delicate body
And your beautiful face
There is nothing more I want to see
Except the thought of you and me
As I reach out to touch your hand
My whole world turns into another land
Just you and me
In the different place
My hands begin to sweat
And my starts to race
There is something I want to say
So please listen to me
It begins with I love you
And ends with us together
It's my promise forever

I love the way you write. Your poems have the perfect balence of rhyme and reason. If you didn't get my other comment this is little old me, Areil Diffson with a mew screen name. Anyway, I look forward to reading more of what you write, stories and poems alike.
