Give me a smile
Every once in a while
No matter how small
To me it stands tall
And it lasts for more than a mile.

Well, being a cronic smiler, i couldn't pass this up...And i'm glad i didn't. It may be short but i like it. It does what a poem is supposed to do, send a message to the reader and express the author's opinion. So, awesome!

It's true that unconventional (or abstract) poetry is the norm today, but that shouldn't take away from all the other styles of poetry which present themselves on this site.

Emily really seems to enjoy the short and sweet. Which, to me, is a refreshing change of pace to many of the dour, drawn-out, and deistic prose that happen to find their way on here. I guess...

it takes all kinds.
