Favorite Quote:
Every thought is a seed waiting to blossom into an idea...

Tic-tok, tic-tok, tic-tok
The clock is ticking on the wall
Surely someday it will fall?

It always tics and always toks
Only death can make it stop, I know
Surely death is a worthy foe?

Ring, ring, ring
The phone's rings off the wall resound
Surely its answer will soon be found?

Ringing, ringing, always ringing
Its song is silenced by a beep
Surely the scar left is only skin deep?

The author's comments:
I wrote this song for a class assignment where we were suppose to chose two or three objects in the room and write a story or poem or something about them. I chose the clock on the wall and my phone sitting on the table. The clock seemed fitting because, one, I hated it, what with timed essays and the like, and it seemed to represent how consciously aware of time pressing against us we, too often, are in life, with it just ticking away on the wall or on the desk. As well as how little we have in the end. (I wrote this just after my older half-brother had passed away). I chose the phone because it represented the unanswered call, the missed opportunity, the lost moment. In the end we hope it didn't matter.
