Forced Breath

she had a headache.
it was a day spent weak and souless.
clear poison washed down the manufacturer's masterpiece.
swallow after swallow sucked smile after smile from her tender heart,
rather quickly the well ran dry.

i'm not even thinking.
in her words its simple, i don't listen.
thinking won't help, i can't understand the voice calling for me.
her tear choked voice cracks, besides i've gone deaf anyways.
i'm floating, my muscles are in shock.

think clearly now, stop fading away from my voice.
just let go, i have just awakened to disorientation. what the #$@*?
just get out. hide like you always did, it seems my well is plentiful.
i only fear the rush of memories that will drunken me past consciousness.
who just left, you or i?
