Who Am I

Who am I to write a poem.
When God has said it all.
In every blade of grass.
In every tree grown tall.
Who am I to count the stars,
If such a thing I could or the raindrops as they fall upon a dark pine wood.
Who am I to kill a bird.
That sings a golden song
Or to take the breath of anything that lives and does no harm.
Who am I to break the thread of life.
That God has spun or say this shall be it's end. Before it has begun
