I never imagined this to
Last so
Long.
Together forever
Always seemed
Such
A stretch.
Two years
Apart
Only brought
Us closer.
Now a day never goes by I don't see you.
You've always been the most dependable
Person in my life;
Ready with a reassuring smile
And a sturdy
Shoulder to cry on
When things
Aren't
Going my way.
It barely registered in my mind
That this
Might be the
Real
Thing.
All along hiding
Under
The pretense
of
Just
Friends.
