Ode to Sleep
Sleep, sleep, sleep
It’s what I desire
Without it I am tired
Like a camp fire with no fire
Or a car with no tires
I really cannot lie
I am tired…
Though at the end of the day
I will be wired
But at the moment
I am tired, not wired, tired
Tired because sleep is all I admire
And every time I wake up
I will regret the fact that I am tired
Though I feel like a thief had stolen my rest
I promise every morning I will try my best
Despite the sourness of my drowsiness
