Jealousy

Jealousy meanders through me.
A river of uncertainy.
Not knowing the cause.
Putting my life on pause.
An unstoppable force.
Running through it's course.
Maybe it's a disease,
that only my heart can free.
I've got the key to the door
to find a cure.
For what's taken hold of me.
Finger by finger I'm loosening,
the grip Jealousy's got on me.
Now I'm free,
Or so it seems.
How long will it last
Till it reaches out to me
and takes hold yet again?
