Reality of a Dream

October 13, 2008
By Sarah Mafe, Highland Village, TX

Fallen from the pages of her imagination
Inscribed to contain every facet of her escape
Filled with her uttermost desires

A place of peace and tranquility
It starts with a stream,
G l i d i n g
on the surface of the mountains
Weaving to a place where eyes cannot see

The supple grass hugs that hugs the edges
Spanning for eternity
Like little wings beneath her
Keeping
Her afloat
amidst the uncertainty

Her bridge
A pathway to endless possibilities
A taste of what is to come
On

The

Other

Side

But the rest has yet to be written
Fear of the unknown
Fear of chaos, disaster
Eagerness of familiarity, new experiences
Struck by a whirlwind of emotions

For now she must live, breathing, awake.
