Am I a Dog ?

I am a dog
loked up in
a cage.In
the middle
of winter.
I am freezing
knowing no one
will see me or
care about me.
All I know is
that my family
is out there
and they know
who I am and they
feel the same thing
I do, but we
are not lazy.
we are cheerfuly
not like dogs
dogs are pets
wear not slaves
we are people like
all others.we are
not dogs locked
up.
