My Life, No Longer
Is there a tomorrow,
Or the rest of today?
I'd do anything
To make the pain go away.
The stitches, they burn,
But the blade feels great.
I have so much to live for,
Why can't I appreciate?
As blood runs warm,
My skin turns cold.
I think to myself-
"I'll never grow old"
As the bathtub fills,
A deep, dark red,
I sleep forever;
Just not in my bed.
