"If your eye's could speak what would they say?" -The Book Thief

The Screaming honkers chewed her out.
Making her stare and wonder.
Her ebony pupils caught on loves first sight.

Her velvet lips quivered with “Whom?”
Her pale hand shook
Holding the stem of the blanket of Navy.

The beauty of brown curls punctured.
Keeping her soul to scream.
Doubt was nowhere seen.

Chilling winds hit fragile face.

Sharp glimpses flash in her mind.
Anxiety was fluttering down in the pit.

Broad postures passed by.
But one stayed behind.
“It can’t be?!”

Dripping curls swarmed down.
Tender smile
Hooked their matching gaze.

Eye’s filled with wonder.
Speechless laughter.
All but one smile caught up in between.

She caught one finale look.
Finding the way again.
But… nothing but a gentle touch.

There was photograph that took my breath away and I wanted to do a visual response poem on it.
