Can Anyone Here Her?
There is a black cloud over my heart.
I try to escape it, running,
But going nowhere.
Its raining, pouring,
Drops of depression fall,
Like snow on a sunny day,
We dwell on the issue,
No one says a word.
“Speak up” I say.
Nothing comes out,
just more talk of weather and food,
Thunder strikes! A bright sudden flash of lightning,
Tears roll down our hearts, tears stream down her face.
Trying to break free is the one thing we’ll ignore
We all know its there, a big, black, dark cloud sinking lower over us.
Shadows surround us, our hearts, our souls,
Nowhere to go, nothing to say,
They all know she needs us,
But somehow they don’t care,
Just try to avoid the fact that she’s there
“Someone Help me” she says with a cry.
I want to stand up and break from this storm,
The cloud yet but hovers,
Nowhere to go, “what will I say?”
I think “someone help her, somebody please!”
There’s no response,
A cloud so muggy, dark and deep,
They’ll all just ignore her, and the feeling they’ll keep,
I wonder…”will anyone hear her?”
