Inside Out
You sit there, unaware
Untouched, without a worry or care.
Letting it happen in your sight, the fight
Unconcerned, you watch in delight.
Selfish, sick, and cruel you are.
Unwanted, unloved, and useless she feels.
You laugh and shout when she cries in pain.
And she just tells herself it could be worse, an' deals.
You snicker when she lies face down, not making a sound
Unfaultering, you hold your ground.
How could you let that go on, so long
Smiling, you are because she's gone.
You rejoice and you celebrate,
And you feel that you win.
But only because your heart's inside out,
And your soul is outside in.
