Tears of Lead
The tears burn my soul
My heart cries, my eyes dry
I guess life has taken its toll
Love and hate, life and death
I have cried myself out
I am unable to cry anymore
SO my heart is inside out
I can't breathe, my throat in a knot
Poetry is my tear
The pencil my eye
The paper the face onto which it trickles
It burns, on fire, the sears are setting in
Water and salt, so soft it tickles
The tears continue, like a waterfall
I'm at the edge and I take the plunge
Please save me from it all
