Ending for some, beginning for others.
Leaves do the waltz, while the old remember their dancing days.
Wind whips, as children crunch leaves in a whirlwind of laughter.
Trees weep, as they remember the bright sun that used to shine on them.
Jack-o-lanterns glow like the eyes of children learning life's wonders,
The young pretend,
Knocking on waiting doors,
It's the end of life,
Even though it seemed like just the beginning.
There's no stopping change.
