The Day Everyone Cried

The Day that Everyone Cried
On that September day in 2001
The towers crumbled down
It was a dreadful day
For all the cities and towns

Innocent men and women
Were trapped in the fires
Waiting and watching
The Al-Qaida fliers

One day the pentagon stood tall
As if it would never fall
And then came the planes diving,
And crashing without warning

As the flag wavered in the light
The Statue of Liberty looked upon the city
However the evil men who hit our monuments
Had no shame or pity

The whole nation was in terror
And people were dying
The worst part of all,
Is that everyone was crying.

Powerful poem! We should never forget this terrible attack on America nor forgive those spineless cowards who took so many innocent lives. God bless America!

I could tell that you really felt what you were writing. There are still many in our country who are still crying because of this horrendous happening. Keep praying and writing about peace in the world.
