Sleep is euphoric
It’s the only place
To get away without leaving

In my own bed is the best of all
Its comfort is something
No other man can fathom

For hours my thoughts are deep like trenches
With a pitch black darkness and a lingering fog
A depth measured in light years

Vivid dreams are like recollections
Of my past endeavors
Haunting my sleep

Like the reoccurring one where I fall in my bed
So lightly like a feather
Not to wake me up

Alarms go off while in my trance
An emergency while I dream?
It’s time for school.

While I fall asleep in school
I’ve come to realize
Sleep is euphoric
