Jack-O-Lantern

October 6, 2008
By Chandler Keeling, Olympia, WA

It is dark
There is no moon and no stars
My breathe looks like the eerie fog that surrounds the road I am walking on
the silence is deafening
it echos in my head
i see a light A strange glowing light
It looks like it has eyes
Is it moving towards me
or am I moving towards it
laughter or screaming
i cant tell which is coming out
its jagged orange mouth
I want to run away but instead I walk closer
My heart is pulsing like the beat of the light
What is it? What can it be?
a jack-o-lantern

That's interesting. Nice description of feeling as you see the jack-o-lantern. Sort of like a riddle.
