Trapped in an Open Space

September 29, 2008
By Darriane Elledge, Littleton, CO

I'm trapped inside an open space
Trapped inside the world
Where I'm no perfect, gleaming Angel
I'm the lonely little girl.

I'm trapped inside an open space
Trapped inside the sea
Grasping Life
Pulling it down with me.

I'm trapped inside and open space
Trapped inside a heart
Room for love I'll never see
The beats tearing me apart.

I'm trapped inside a tight space
Trapped inside life
A little dark room
No space for light.

This was a piece I wrote when I was outside one day. It was very quiet and I just looked around and saw all the space around me, and noone there.
