This Was Her Life
The name was Sunnyy,
Although everyone found it funny,
Only because she spelt it with two y's
And every night they'd make her cry,
She'd stay online ALL day,
It didn't matter what the other kids say,
Always asking, "Why me?"
And never knowing what could be,
She never had any friends,
That would love her until the very end,
Until that one night,
With that last fight,
She would never graduate high school,
Because she would never be cool,
Real life had never been enough,
Even if she'd acted tough,
Knowing that she was heart broken,
She was also left unspoken,
Whenever she'd shed a tear for him,
She knew she wasn't going to win,
Whenever she'd say,
"Why don't things just go my way?",
People would just ignore her,
During the night nothing would stir,
She'd done her best to keep her word,
She couldn't even talk to a little bird,
Not knowing what was going on,
Didn't know what she'd done wrong,
Crying herself to sleep,
Doing nothing but weep,
Once her day is done,
And she's the only one,
She lives with what's left,
Even if it's the very best,
She's done almost everything,
And even her cell phone doesn't ring,
Once it's too late,
She can't even find a date,
She has to move on,
So that nothing else will go wrong,
One more night,
Without a fight,
She'll go to bed knowing,
That the moon is still glowing,
And within each time,
She doesn't even want a dime,
It is time for her to rest her head,
So now she goes to bed.
