A Holiday of Lies
Emotions: screaming, twisting, turning.
Thoughts are running, breathing, burning.
Words are playing deceitful games,
Mixing black and white in names.
Trust are broken with falsend smiles,
Behind the ribbons that spread ‘cross miles.
Truths are covered with wrapping paper,
Trapped with bows from finer drapers.
Behind their laughs they always hide,
The Angel's wings shall sag with time.
The color red both bright and dull,
And isolation takes its toll.
Justice already took its leave,
Long ago love had been seized.
We huddle in a darkened niche,
Telling ourselves its just a ditch
That one day we will overcome,
When New Years forces wounds to numb.
