All I see are walking bones,
Elegant and prim;
Nothing more than lifeless forms,
Graceful, yet grim.
Gaunt faces, hollowed eyes,
Hair that’s lost its shine;
Color drained from paper skin,
Figures lost by time.
In this place of walking bones,
Perfection steals your soul;
To be like them-To just fit in,
That’s your lasting goal.
But the mirror scars your heart,
Because it screams what’s true;
You’ll never be the walking bones,
So be yourself-push through.
