Once upon a time
There was a little old man
Who had few teeth
And lived in a can.
He traveled in his spaceship
Through worlds afar
And always stopped to see
The most exotic star.
He wore bifocal glasses
And was very bald.
He had a hound dog.
Snoopy it was called.
He thought he was Elvis.
He sang all his songs.
For the poor little dog,
His days were very long.
“You ain’t nothing but a hound dog,”
The old man would bellow
And soon the poor little dog
Turned green and then he turned yellow.
Snoopy had enough,
And so he ran away.
To Pluto he went
And thought he would stay.
The old man was lonely.
He whimpered and whined,
So off in his spaceship
His dog he would find.
He searched all the planets
Without any fear.
When he got to Pluto,
He saw his dog drinking beer.
The man said he was sorry
And that he was wrong.
Then Snoopy responded with,
“That’s OK, let’s just go on home.”
