Dear John Michael
Morning light shines through my window, the world keeps spinning round
The wind still blows
The leaves still fall
Though you don't breathe a sound
You lay still,
though trees still rustle
The waters still do flow,
Through the green, ending summer grass, the cool touch of your skin, as through my mind you row.
And Heaven's gates will open
The Earth shall close to you
The seasons shall still pass
Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter blue
Hold onto my hand, dear friend, in spirit and in mind
Bringing death to life
I shall walk with you through time
