lost love
a hand unwinds, resting open- facing the sky.
waiting for the warmth, the touch.
will it ever feel? could she ever feel again?
a hand reveals, all that the heart knows
with lines making up maps in the flesh.
Would they ever know love again?
a hand cries, hoping for that touch
it has missed for so long now.
Can emptiness be refilled?
a hand reaches out, and says a silent prayer
that one day they will see her with eyes of love
again.
Smiles creeping, should the hand move to theirs?
or remain silent, to itself, inches away?
A hand is just a part on the body,
no matter how much it longs for touch,
no matter how much it reveals,
no matter how much it prays.
It's not real.
where has the love has gone now?
lost in a sea of lines
amongst a hand
void of feeling.
Will they ever know
how much I love them so?
Recoiling hands, two worlds collide.
and silently, and almost peaceful, they die,
slowly burning from the inside.
