An innocent word,
until given emotion.
It's a leech of the soul.
Taking out all the happiness
of the heart.
Replacing it with,
ache, pain and fear.
It doesn't stop until it has consumed all.
Leaving the heart,
hard, harsh, hurting.
Creating crust around it,
acting as a shield.
Spitting spite at others.
Soon,
once all other feeling has gone,
Your heart is no more.
Only a black hole is left.
Void,
Heartless,
Vacuum of hate.
