Window of my mind

September 22, 2008
By Anonymous

Everyday,
staring out the
barred window of
the prison of my mind.

All the time,
wishing to find a
way to spend my time.

Somewhere,
where people will
notice me for who I am.

Anywhere,
is better than
the dark room
in the back of my head.

All the while,
thoughts simmer
and grow to be grand.

It’s time,
to break through
the window of my mind.

I really liked this. I think a lot of teenagers (or anybody with a bit of artistic soul in them, really) can relate to this poem. Good job.

I love this poem. I was hoping to see more work by the poet on this website.
