"Reality is for people with no imagination." -Jan Tincher.

What’s black and white and red all over?
Me.
Simple and matter-of-factly written across pages of my life,
The red is the little bit of random you see.
I can be many things;

I can be that one piece of news that changes your life,
I can be pessimist and say only the bad things.
I can be that spark of good news and a welcoming smile.
I can be that flower that is the prettiest that you find in the garden section.

Wait.
There’s more.

I can be that laughter that never gets old in the comics.
I can be that someone that wears the latest trends.
I can be that successful person that follows the dream in business.
I can be that one person who changes your life… for the better.

There is much more than what you see.
For I am just being… me.

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece in five minutes during extra time in class. What inspired me was the school paper that we recieved that day. It was just so obvious. I also liked including the begining, "What is black and white and red all over?" It wasn't meant as a joke but simply another source of inspiration.

The poet clearly has a delicate way with words to express her inner emotion. There is surely a talent here.

I think that it is an interesting piece that tells about the person and their interests. She makes the piece interesting to read. You want to interpert the meaning of it.

It's a really great poem. I like how the author describes an everyday object with artistic measures, showing more depth through poetry.
