You expected me

September 20, 2008
By Anonymous

You expected me to be beautiful.
You know that I am not.

You expected me to be classy,
and it isnt what I saught.

You expected me to love you,
but I'm putting up a fight.

You expected me to be there,
through thin, wrong and right.

You expected me to give you,
my virginity.

But I'm not going to do that,
you just don't understand me.

You expected me to do this,
to honestly stay through.

You expected to much from me,
and I've got nothing left for you.

I absolutely cannot believe I have found this!!! This is MY poem. (No, really, this is Alexis R. from Sarasota, FL.)... I am happy to announce my writing skills have gotten so much better but this brought back happy feelings of way back when.

This was a REALLY great poem. It was very lyrical and my attention was captured and chained by the first line.
