Four Minutes

My life it seems is like a train track,
For a minute everything seems fine,
Than I get the choice to change tracks,
And at the crossroads I realize the time,
The time is four minutes from when I got here,
And four minutes away from when I leave,
Four minutes from when I decided,
Four minutes was all I would need,
At four minutes I saw the time I wasted,
Was four minutes of my life ,
And when I realized all the time I had used up,
My four minutes had run out,
And now I’m four minutes away,
From knowing that four minutes was always enough,
To realize that only four minutes,
Was enough time to change my life,
And that life is only four minutes
Away from the time I will see the end,
And see that the time I have left is forever,
So four minutes to forever seems hard to comprehend.

I really enjoyed this thought-provoking poem. Keep writing these because you're an amazing young poet and the world needs more art that provokes thought.

well i'm going to sound rude, but i'm really trying not to. i liked it i guess, but poetry is something that has two main purposes: to be related to, and to make one think. this poem confused me. i didn't want to think about anything because i felt like when i figured it out, i wouldn't be able to relate. if i were to make this better, i would add more detail about why you feel like this
