I Miss You

By , Bridgewater, MA
I'm okay, I'm just fine
But fine isn't enough,
Not when I know what I had
And what I lost.
Not when I see others
With what I long for,
Cry for,
Die for.
Not when I'm without you.

Sometimes I wonder how I can even survive,
How I can operate alone.
And when I begin to feel happy.
Guilt sets in and I feel like a traitor.

I wish I could talk to you,
Confess, explain,
I wish you could understand.
But instead I lay here alone.
