Moon in the mirror

Midnight sleep takes to effect,
As the moon rises to all but one.
A single teenage girl awakes to night’s blue shine,
She follows an eerie blue glow to a lake.
On the water she walks to the center
Where a simple reflection of the crescent above surrounds her.
A gathering of howling rises,
When wolves arrive at the edge of the mirror.
A bright power arises from the pack,
And to their guardian they release to.
Their leader and guardian,
Of whom wed and surrender their power to protect the “Moon in the mirror.”
