Child Abuse

September 13, 2008
By Anonymous

Steady paces.
Live your life to the fullest.
Be a teenager while you can.
Don't jump ahead.

From a baby,
and a divorce of family.
Innocent and scared.
No one to talk to.
Couldn't talk anyway.

To a little girl.
Drugs, and abuse.
Alcohol, and lies.
Still no one to talk to.
Wouldn't talk anyway.

To a preteen.
Leaving and missing.
Forgetting and Remembering.
I talked and it backfired.
Promised myself never to talk again.

Then a teen.
Telling.
They deny.
I talked and they don't believe me.
I talked and they don't care.
I talked and I will never have to talk again.
