I keep my memories
In a box shut tight
Nothing comes in
Not even the light

I keep them hidden
So no one will know
The secrets I have
And what lies below

I keep my memories
Locked up with no key
No one can open them
Not even me

I wish I knew why
Or even how come
I guess I don’t like
The person I’ve become

So my memories lie dead
In a box well sealed
So if they are gone
Why have the wounds not healed?
