Alone
The stars
though far away
still sparkle
lingering in the sky
as the moon comes out
miles away and blissful
so it may seem
they don't understand
the worries which we face
they don't experiance fear
nor hatred
Fortunate they may seem
not able to be hated
not able to worry
we look up at the stars
and envy them
so far away from these troubles
yet
the stars don't sparkle every night
and the moon doesn't always smile
because they can't experiance
anxiety or pain
they have no reason to love
they are deprived
of the love
and ecouredgement
a mother gives
they are unable
to share
the gift of friendship
alone and empty
forever more
so when you look up at the night sky
pity its residents
for they will never know
the beauty of love
