Cry, cry I say!
For the agony is too much…
When I cannot gaze into your eyes,
And see your love for me
Or when I cannot look upon your beautiful smile,
As brilliant as the stars in the heavens

Cry, cry I say!
For the torture is too much…
When I don’t have the pleasure of being blessed with your sweet smell,
Unique to your naked body
Or being denied the pleasure of your soft lips upon mine,
Breathing in a calming breathe, as our parted lips meet

Cry, cry I say!
For the distress is too much…
When your hand gently leaves the protection of mine
And your body slowly walks away,
Disappearing into the shadows

Cry, cry I say!
For the silent tears I weep
Come not from my eyes…
But from my heart and soul alone

The author's comments:
This poem without a doubt has a sad quality to it; however, there is a hidden side of joy and happiness. All the things mentioned are the things I love about this person. I remember and cherish these qualities and feelings the most; all of these things are held close to my heart. I leave it up to you, the reader, to interpret the poem in anyway you choose. But it was written with the intention of showing, not sadness, but my love for this special person. I do not deny the sad quality of this poem, but not all tears are tears of sadness.
