These Eyes

When your eyes meet mine what do they see?
A life full of wonders, joys and fantasies?
Or is that only what you think.
Is there so much more?
Search hard before the next blink.

Maybe you never really looked.
Because these eyes contain a novel,
a very confusing book.

These eyes are only sixteen years old.
If you look beyond the color and beauty
you'd see that inside its freezing cold.

These eyes hold pain created from years that have past.
Maybe these years have gone by too fast.
Cause now at this very moment in time the pain returns.
Making me sick,
my stomach flips and turns.
And at the same time my heart yearns.
Yearning for someone, anybody to understand.
My emotions are like sand.
In the palm of your hand.
Strong and firm.
Until you open it.
Opening you hand, releases the sand.
Carried away by the wind.
My emotions are set free.
Now do you get me?
These eyes have cried so many tears.
Hundreds of tears over the years.
Enough to create another ocean.
Well guess what?
I'm tired of this oceans motion.
So I ask you again.
When your eyes meet mine what do they see?
A life full of wonder, joys, and fantasies?
Or is that only what you think.
Is there so much more?
Search hard before the next blink.
