Crumbling

September 10, 2008

I feel like I’m sitting with the apes
Sitting by the end of the human race
Yeah I’m on the outside
I know my way is right
don’t understand what they say

But that’s where you fit in
They are your friends
I get it
But I can’t deal with it
We are on the ends

About to tip over
Need a four leaf clover
Wanna say we’re over
Over this

But now we’re falling to pieces
Which one of us needs this
The map leads us
To over a cliff

We’re crumbling
We’re crumbling
We’re crumbling
We’re crumbling

I feel like we never got that close
At any sign of it you hit the road
Bet you don’t regret it
You’re glad you did it
I’m keeping my mouth closed

Never can I ever spill out
And you know I’m not that loud
I know that you notice
Can’t sugarcoat it
Don’t wanna be part of the crowd

About to tip over
Need a four leaf clover
Wanna say we’re over
Over this

We’re crumbling
We’re crumbling
We’re crumbling
We’re crumbling

I wanted
Something
close to forever
Not romantic
just consistent
I’m not out to hurt ya

Can never erase
and start again
can we step back
and go where we’ve been

But now we’re falling to pieces
Which one of us needs this
The map leads us
To over a cliff

We’re crumbling
We’re crumbling
We’re crumbling
We’re crumbling
