carnivorous lie

You are a carnivorous lie,
like the lion chasing the antelope;
sinking your teeth into the heart hearing the cries.

You think your slick and so sly,
But your as confused and askew as a kaleidoscope.
You are a carnivorous lie.

Let’s face it you can change your adorable looks in the blink of an eye.
But being a lion isn’t as great as one would hope.
Sinking your teeth into the heart hearing the cries

You used to never pretend you were the tough guy,
But there you are looking down at you prey at the bottom of the slope
You are a carnivorous lie,

Your beginning to think your as deadly as lye,
But face it head on your just a misanthrope
sinking your teeth into the heart hearing the cries.

And, I called you my friend and now I am wondering why.
And I’m trying my hardest now not to cry.
You are a carnivorous lie,
sinking your teeth into the heart hearing the cries.

i really like this. there are a few errors i found, like "at you prey" and misanthrope doesn't need "a" before it, but it's your poem, not mine. it's really great. good job
