A Burdened Princess
She gazes outside her tower
Wearing a crown as a symbol of power
So lovely so fair
Ladies envy her golden hair
She makes every man swoon
Her fair skin glows like the moon
Yet behind her beauty lies a troubled soul
Where her pressure as a princess has taken its toll
She's sad, so angry
For she can't live free
A simple girl she would rather be
The only man she loved wasn't a prince
Her family disproved, she hasn't seen him since
She is waiting to marry a man she doesn't love
Stuck with an arranged marriage she can never walk out of
No riches will ever make her content
For her life as a royal is a great torment
Yet every girl wishes to be who she is
Spoiled with a life full of power and riches
But none will ever know
How much of a burden a princess will always undergo
