Black Bird girl

September 6, 2008
By Nicole Melillo, Monroe Twp., NJ

The way the shadow crosses
the eath tosses
she is hidden in a darken placce
where no one sees her hidden face

Call's her weary cry
come watch me die
Ravens come to me
watch your girl go free

Blackened Cloak, Chalk skin
wide eyes, frightened kin
As she jumps and soars
through open doors
