A Rose of Darkest Hue

Set in silence, all alone,
a rose of darkest hue,
abandoned to the shadows,
yet noone saw, nobody knew,
Cast aside, unwanted,
an outcast of his kin,
never to know a normal life
for a misfit's all he's been,
I sorrow for what you've been through
when nothing you have done,
but you know not my black rose,
that you and I are one

The author's comments:
A black rose is a very rare and very beautiful flower... but often it is unappreciated and cast aside, without a second though because it differes so from its brothers with their hues of red and white. People are similar in this nature. There may be a beautiful black rose among us, but we will never see it because it has pushed aside and hidden by the common roses all around. However, that does not mean that it's not there, waiting to be sought and found...

I really like it, it maybe could be formatted differently. But your poem, rhythm, is fantastic.
