And just when I thought things couldn't be worse
I found myself suddenly submersed
in that incredibly awful family curse
and once again I was stuck
everything I had tried not to become
scribbled itself on my skin in the mirror I stare back from
snuck up behind me like a phantom
unveiling its havoc
breathing onto my neck's nape
fingers joined as a blade to scrape
it pierced through leaving me with no escape
leaves me on my back like a weed to pluck
Somehow I wasn't as weak as in my past
can finally breathe now that the ghost is unmasked
finally found my way home at last
maybe it wasn't me, but luck

My friend Kerri helped me with this, so i cannot take all the credit. She is quite great.
