Social Phobia

September 5, 2008
By Anonymous

Sitting in the chair, in the middle of a restraunt;
Shaking, like no tomorrow;
Wondering if they can see me;
Too many people all around and everyone is looking at me;
Help me, understand me, don't force me;
I need to turn around, let me dissappear; PLEASE!

The author's comments:
I used to be very shy when I was a child, around the age of five. Than around 7th grade it all got worse. After that I started with social anxiety disorder. I have had it ever since. I was at a restraunt and I typed how I felt right after I got home.

I have social anxiety too.

So the line, "Too many people all around and everyone is looking at me" was easy for me to relate to, because that's how I felt everyday at school.
