What I'll Say

September 5, 2008

The pain's unmistakable.
I feel it deep inside.
If it weren't for you, my dear
There'd be nothing for me to hide.

I miss your great big smiles;
I miss your nice warm hugs;
I miss your soft, sweet kisses;
The things that show your love.

There will be a time again
when the pain just goes away
Smiling with open arms,
"I Love You!", that's what I'll say.

There comes a time in life when you have to leave the person you love, not forever, but at times can feel like that. Hence, the motivation for this poem. I hope you enjoy.

This poem brought tears to my eyes. I know exactly what you are talking about, the feelings that come with love. Unbelievable work of art you've got going here; what a lucky girl....

Wow, this is an absolutely inspiring poem. It makes me think of the times when I fell in love (a long time ago). You're a great writer, keep it up!
