Looking in the mirror, scared of what I'll see.

Scared to see how soulless, I can truly be.

I try so hard to walk away. But tempted to come back.

None other than a creature who's heart is cold and black.

Staring in the mirror, I give it one more shot.

One more shot to save myself, the reasons I have fought.

The life I lead has put me here staring in this glass.

Redemption is my only hope to save my soul at last.

The author's comments:
This piece was inspired by my reflection. Looking in the mirror I was truly unhappy with myself. Not my looks but how I treated people. I often tried to blame others for my actions. One day looking in the mirror I figured out that I was the one to blame. By writing this piece I have found myself. Who I really am, and how I can become that person. I hope my piece can inspire others to do the same and I hope this is helpful to to others with the same problem.
