Burn

Burn
Creeping through the night
While the innocent sleep.
Ruining lives with one silent sweep.
Pushing the limits and shooting down hopes.
All mercy forgotten.
The friends and the foes.
Battle it out without an excuse
For the fires that burn.
The war carries on and terror returns.
Fuel for the fire
Is the hate that we breathe.
Hate sparks awareness
They realize that we
Were the faces they looked to
So long ago.
Before we changed and before they could know
That we were the ones.
We started it all
Caused so many friends to fall.
Darkness has found them.

They won’t return.
We lit the match and let it all burn
